KFCC's president Shin Jong-baek attended the 3rd Global Saemaul Leadership Forum(GSLF), which was held at Alpensia resort in Pyeongchang on October 18~21, 2016. In particular, Saemaul Geumgo held a special discussion session on "Saemaul Geumgo's establishment and growth, success factor, ODA strategy". In the session, more than 300 people joined and listened the stories of the successful operation of Saemaul Geumgo by Dr. Thein Tun former president of Thanlyin University in Myanmar and Mr. Stephen Barozi Saumaul Leader in Uganda. Dr. Tun Win, Deputy Director of Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation said, "It was very impressive that Saemaul Geumgo attained success by its self-help principle and savings oriented operation. We will try to apply this model to our country".
