□ KFCC and Ministry of the Interior and Safety held an invitational training in MG HRD Institute (in Cheonan) and Jeju Training Center (in Jeju) for 10 days from 12th to 21st to spread Saemaul Geumgo throughout Myanmar.

□ This training was participated by eight trainees including the Saemaul Geumgo TF team from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and chairperson of Saemaul Geumgo in Myanmar to share growth of Saemaul Geumgo and operational know-how in savings and loan, and to visit exemplary Saemaul Geumgos such as Samsung Electronics Saemaul Geumgo.
□ KFCC and Ministry of the Interior and Safety have conducted international development cooperation project since 2016 to spread Saemaul Geumgo's financial inclusion model in developing countries. As a result, the first Saemaul Geumgo has been set up in Myanmar in 2017, and so far, 24 Saemaul Geumgos have been established in Myanmar as a result of constantly holding local trainings by the cooperation with KOICA as the interministerial collaboration.
□ As public officials in Saemaul Geumgo's TF team who will be in charge of the establishment and operation of Saemaul Geumgo in Myanmar participated in the training, they will prepare for nationwide spread of Saemaul Geumgo's success model when they return to their home country. As such, Saemaul Geumgo model is expected to go beyond Korea and largely contribute to enhance financial accessibility in rural areas throughout Myanmar, break down high-interest loans, promote welfare and contribute to improving financial inclusion by reducing poverty and improving quality of life of ordinary people in Myanmar.
□ Park Cha Hoon, President & Chairperson of KFCC said, "We will continue invitational and local training to ensure Saemaul Geumgo's success model spreads throughout Myanmar", and said, "We plan to consistently perform local consulting and etc."
□ Based on application case of Saemaul Geumgo model in developing countries, KFCC plans to consistently expand it in other developing countries such as Uganda and Laos.
