□ On November 3, 10 staffs and 7 chairpersons of 'MG Impact', the first overseas volunteer group of Saemaul Geumgo (the Saemaul Geumgo Council of Seongnam, Gwangju, and Hanam) headed off to Myanmar from Incheon International Airport for a 6-day volunteer activity with the aim of 'changing the world through MG Saemaul Geumgo'. □ In this volunteer activity, the group visited Nyaung Hnapin Saemaul Geumgo where Saemaul Geumgo has been set up for operation to deliver donation of KRW 36 million for building the meeting hall and buying office equipment, and delivered steel safes worth KRW 14 million to 14 new Saemaul Geumgos. □ To promote Saemaul Geumgo, the group had a tour of Nyaung Nyapin village, and senior staff cum lecturer of financial class, Bo-ra Kim (Seongnam Jungbu Saemaul Geumgo) volunteered in children's saving class for local children. Also, to promote Korean culture, the group shared rice cake soup in the village hall and held a Korean class that received a fervent response from locals. □ Jae-taek Kim, Chairperson from the Saemaul Geumgo Council of Seongnam, Gwangju and Hanam Saemaul Geumg (Nakwon Saemaul Geumgo Chairperson) said, "From this overseas volunteer, we felt pride in promoting Saemaul Geumgo and Korean culture." □ Last year, MG Impact conducted mural painting in kindergarten and hygiene training for children in Oboe and DabuNawar villages of Myanmar. The group plans to continue volunteer activities in Myanmar to spread Saemaul Geumgo Model and share its benefits.
