□ KFCC announced that it conducted 'Saemaul Geumgo local training in Uganda on Service Form Templates and financial capacity-building' together with Ministry of the Interior and Safety at National Farmers Leadership Center (NFLC) from December 17. This training were participated by 50 persons including accountants and employees from 12 Saemaul Geumgos in Uganda. □ Recognizing the urgency to standardize service formats after finding out that Saemaul Geumgos in Uganda have been using different service templates, KFCC formed Saemaul Geumgo Working Committee centered on Joseph William Kitandwe, Registrar of Ministry of Trade, Industry & Cooperatives (MTIC), and enacted and provided various service formats. □ This local training was focused on Saemaul Geumgo's Service Form Templates, and it is expected to deliver transparent and reliable financial information to their members. □ Korea's Saemaul Geumgo model is recognized as a new solution in the sector of financial inclusion by resolving the challenge of financial exclusion of villagers who do not have access to official financial services in rural areas of Uganda. Last November, Saemaul Geumgo has even been recognized by the Ugandan government as an independent cooperative model. □ Park Cha Hoon, President & Chairperson of KFCC said, "Like we did in the past, we hope Uganda turns difficulties into hopes and build prosperous and rich communities through Saemaul Geumgo model", and also said, "I'm grateful for your continuous interest and support in Saemaul Geumgo in Uganda."
