□ KFCC and the Korean Ministry of the Interior and Safety held an invitational training to spread Saemaul Geumgo in Laos in MG HRD Institute (in Cheonan) for 10 days from November 11 to 20. □ This training was attended by 10 trainees including public officials from Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) and village leaders of Laos to share Saemaul Geumgo's growth and operational know-how in savings and loan. Also, they had tours of Saemual Geumgos including Seongnam Jeil Saemaul Geumgo. □ As the invited trainees includes public officials in charge of setting up and operating Saemaul Geumgo in Laos, they will be preparing to spread Korean Saemaul Geumgo's success model in Laos when they return home. □ Through this, Saemaul Geumgo is expected to go beyond Korea, Myanmar and Uganda and largely contribute to reduce poverty and improve quality of life of Laos people by improving financial access in rural areas, breaking down high-interest loans and improving welfare. □ KFCC and the Korean Ministry of the Interior and Safety have held international development cooperation projects to spread Saemaul Geumgo's financial inclusive model in developing countries since 2016, and are striving to share Saemaul Geumgo's success model in Uganda and Laos starting from setting up the first overseas Saemaul Geumgo in Myanmar in 2017. □ KFCC plans to continue invitational and local training and consulting to ensure Saemaul Geumgo's success model to settle in Laos. Also, it plans to continue expanding Korean Saemaul Geumgo model that have been verified in Myanmar, Uganda and Laos to other developing countries.
